The Euro will continue to experience problems. They have bailed out Ireland, but they still have long term problems that they need to deal with. When you borrow too much, you have to deal with it eventually. Taxpayers pay for all of this. It does no good to anyone in the world. This whole farce of having all the world rulers meet to decide what to do has never worked. They would be doing a lot more good if they had just got together for a beer. Just leave us alone.
Debasing the dollar isn’t going to work. It has never worked. Plenty of people have tried to solve problems by debasing their currency. It doesn’t work.
Only invest in things that you understand. If you invest by watching television, you are going to lose money. If the economy doesn’t get better, you can make money in commodities. If the economy does recover, commodities stand to benefit as well. Commodities are a better bet than most asset classes.
Ireland should have simply default. If you make a bad loan, you take a loss. That’s how the world works. Yes, some people are going to lose some money. When you make a mistake, you lose money. That’s how the world works.
